A LITTLE HELP FOR YOUR SETUP

Let’s get connected.

Quick answers for ELMC Mobile, ELMC Connect and ELMC Midi Deck. Menu names and available features can vary with your app version.

How do I connect ELMC Mobile to a nearby Mac?

Open Ecamm on your Mac and keep the Mac awake. Put your iPhone or iPad on the same local network as the Mac. In ELMC, open Connection and search for nearby Macs, then select your Mac. Allow Local Network access when iOS asks, and approve remote control in Ecamm if prompted.

Why doesn’t my Mac appear in the nearby list?

Check that Ecamm is open and ELMC has Local Network permission in iOS Settings. Guest Wi-Fi, network isolation, VPNs and firewall rules can prevent discovery even when both devices have internet. Try your regular studio network, check that the devices can reach each other, and search again. Where available, use the manual address option with the Mac’s current local address and Ecamm control port. Don’t forward your Ecamm port to the internet.

The app is waiting for approval. What should I do?

Look at Ecamm on your Mac for a request to allow remote control. Approve only a device you recognize. Keep Ecamm open, then try connecting again. If the request does not appear, check the connection and remote-control settings in your installed version of Ecamm.

How do I connect when I’m away from my studio?

Use ELMC Connect on the same Mac as Ecamm. Open both apps, enable remote access in Connect, and scan the pairing QR code with ELMC Mobile or your iPhone Camera. Review and approve the Mac in ELMC, then choose Connect remotely. Keep the Mac awake and both devices connected to the internet. Remote access requires an eligible active ELMC subscription.

I scanned the QR code. Why am I not connected yet?

Pairing grants permission; it does not start a remote session. After approving the Mac, return to Connection and choose Connect remotely. If the QR code has expired or was already used, create a new code in ELMC Connect and scan it again. Only approve pairing codes from your own Mac.

ELMC Connect says my Mac is offline or unreachable.

Make sure the Mac is awake, online, and running both Ecamm and ELMC Connect with remote access enabled. Quitting Connect stops remote access. A new remote connection may take a short time to become ready. If authorization fails, check your subscription or restore your purchase, then pair again if requested.

What does ELMC Midi Deck do?

ELMC Midi Deck is a Mac app that lets MIDI-capable equipment control Ecamm. It can work with MIDI controllers, compatible RØDECaster equipment and DAWs that send MIDI. It is a separate tool from ELMC Mobile and ELMC Connect.

My MIDI controller isn’t controlling Ecamm. Where should I start?

Confirm the controller is connected to your Mac and sending MIDI, open Ecamm and ELMC Midi Deck, and check the input and control assignments in your setup. If your version uses a companion or server application, keep it running as well. Use the latest available Midi Deck release. If it still fails, tell support your controller model, macOS version and Midi Deck version.

Can I make my own control layout?

The current ELMC Mobile app includes custom layouts. Add controls, adjust labels, icons and colors, create folder pages, and arrange controls for your workflow. Layout features depend on your installed version. Keep a shared or exported copy of important profiles before making major changes.

How do I restore a purchase or manage my subscription?

Use Restore Purchases in the app with the Apple account used for the original purchase. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Purchases and subscriptions may differ between ELMC products; do not assume one purchase unlocks every app. Contact support if an eligible purchase is not recognized.

Does ELMC track me or sell my data?

We do not use advertising trackers or sell your personal information. Support requests store the information you choose to send. Features such as purchases, optional iCloud sync and remote connections process the information needed to work. Our shared privacy policy explains those details.

What should I include in a support request?

Choose the ELMC product, describe the problem, and include your device model, OS and app versions, connection method, any error text, and the steps you have already tried. Never send passwords, pairing QR codes, connection secrets or payment details. Your name and email are used to help us follow up.
